Transforming rural lives, rooted in the land.

The Rural Transformation Centre empowers farmers, women and youths through sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, ICT and natural medicine — building communities that thrive in harmony with nature.

What we do

Six interwoven programmes, one shared mission.

Every activity feeds the next — manure becomes fertiliser, forests shelter our bees, and skills become livelihoods. This is integrated, demand-driven development.

Bee Keeping

An apiary of ~100 locally-built hives in a forest of over 100 medicinal and meliferous tree species, producing pure natural honey, beeswax, honey wine and propolis.

Environmental Protection

A natural tree nursery that has raised over 200,000 seedlings, plus our “Save the Planet” tree-planting campaigns and watershed protection work.

ICT for Rural Development

Solar-powered computer training for women and youths — from digital record keeping to online marketing of farm produce, running year-round.

Livestock

Pig fattening, sheep rearing and poultry. A layer farm supplies fresh eggs locally while animal manure feeds our organic farm inputs.

Natural Medicine

In partnership with ANAMED International (Germany), we train communities in cultivating, processing and safely using tropical medicinal plants.

Agroecology

Farmer-led workshops on organic fermented fertilisers and pesticides using local resources — cow dung, chili, garlic, rice bran and indigenous microorganisms.

From the founder

Turning a thriving business into a thriving community.

Founder and Coordinator Mr. Litika Boniface closed a successful trading enterprise to dedicate himself to fighting rural poverty — one of the root causes of the lack of formal and non-formal education in his community.

With hard work, determination and goodwill from kind-hearted people around the globe, RTC has grown into one of the largest community-owned and community-run projects in the region.

“I never stopped thinking of what I could do to remedy the situation of poverty in my community.”

— Mr. Litika Boniface, Founder & Coordinator
